TheMachine consists of a hollow steel cylinder, closed at both ends , having aninside diameter of 700mm and inside length of 500mm. The cylinder mounted on asturdy frame on ball bearings. The opening is closed dust tight with aremovable bolted cover in place. A detachable shelf which extends through thedrum catches the abrasive charge and does not allow it to fall on the cover. The drum is rotated at a speed of 30-33 RPM by an electric motor through aheavy duty reduction gear. Fitted with revolution counter and push buttonstarter. Supplied complete with a tray for collection of the material. Abrasivecharge consists of set of 12 Nos. cast iron spheres or steel spheres (hardenedsteel balls) approximately 48mm diameter each weigh between 390-445 gram.Complete as aboveReliable Abrasion Testing for Quality AssuranceThe Los Angeles Abrasion Testing Machine is essential for assessing the durability of aggregates used in construction. This equipment offers consistent and precise results that help laboratories and construction companies comply with national and international standards. FAQ's of Los Angles Abrasion Testing Machine:
Q: How does the Los Angeles Abrasion Testing Machine work?
A: The machine functions by mechanically rotating aggregate samples with steel balls in a drum, causing impact and friction. After the test, the material is sieved to determine the amount of material degraded, thus measuring the aggregate's abrasion resistance.
Q: What is the primary application of this testing equipment?
A: This equipment is mainly used in laboratories to test the abrasion resistance of aggregates involved in construction projects, helping ensure materials meet quality and safety standards.
Q: When should you use the Los Angeles Abrasion Testing Machine?
A: It is ideal to use this machine during the material selection process or quality control stages of construction projects, allowing you to assess the durability and suitability of aggregate materials.
Q: Where is this machine commonly utilized?
A: The Los Angeles Abrasion Testing Machine is commonly used in civil engineering laboratories, construction material testing labs, research centers, and educational institutes across India.
Q: What are the key benefits of using this equipment?
A: Key benefits include excellent performance, a long operational life, reliable and accurate abrasion testing results, and easy maintenance, all of which contribute to higher quality and safety in construction materials.
Q: What is the manual operation process for this testing machine?
A: Operation involves loading the aggregate sample and abrasive charge into the drum, securely closing it, and manually rotating the drum for a set number of revolutions. The remaining material is then analyzed for weight loss, indicating its abrasion resistance.
Q: Is this product available for export, and who are its typical users?
A: Yes, the machine is available for export and is commonly used by manufacturers, suppliers, traders, and laboratories dealing with construction material testing throughout India.
